CBD in body

CBD is short for cannabidiol. 

Cannabidiol is an extract from hemp, a commonly used term for strains of the cannabis sativa plant with very low levels of THC. 

Today, hemp is used in a wide range of products globally.

Cannabinoidsthe active chemicals in medical marijuana, are similar to chemicals the body makes that are involved in appetite, memory, movement, and pain.

Research suggests cannabinoids might: 

  • Reduce anxiety,
  • Reduce inflammation and relieve pain,
  • Relax tight muscles in people with MS,
  • Control nausea and vomiting caused by cancer chemotherapy,
  • Kill cancer cells and slow tumor growth,
  • Stimulate appetite and improve weight gain in people with cancer and ...
On MS Society site we can see: "one in five people with multiple sclerosis (MS) surveyed in 2014. told us they’d used cannabis to help with their symptoms". 
They said it can help with stiffness /spasticity/ or muscle spasms and pain.
Cannabis is made up of compounds called cannabinoids.
